Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska have taken a huge new leap in their relationship – but don’t get too excited, they’re not engaged yet.
The season eight Bachelor couple announced on Monday that they’d bought a house together and have big plans to renovate.
“We bought a house!! Let the celebrations – sorry renovations begin,” Irena posted proudly alongside a photo of her and Locky holding the keys to their new home.
“It’s taken us a while to find our perfect (renovators dream) home in our favourite location but we got there and we are so excited to make this our home.”

(Image: Instagram)Though the couple didn’t reveal where they’d decided to settle down, it could be anywhere between Perth and Melbourne.
Irena, who had been living in Perth with her Bachelor beau, recently relocated back to her home state of Melbourne after “struggling being away” from family.
But now it seems Locky and Irena may have plans to renovate the very home where they may one day start their own family.

“We are super eager to see what the future has in store for us and it’s good to finally set some roots after all our travels,” Irena wrote on Instagram.
“Now let the renovations begin but first a quick celebratory drink or two!”
The season eight Bachelor winner took a year off her job as a nurse to travel around Australia’s west coast with Locky before settling in Perth, sparking rumours of an impending engagement or pregnancy announcement.
Tragically, however, Irena experienced a miscarriage in December 2020 and the pair put off family planning for a while, though she confessed last year that she’s “so clucky”.
Where better to get a family started than in your own, beautifully renovated home?
Locky and Irena clearly have big plans for their new place and fellow Bachie alumni like Anna Heinrich and Alisha Aitken-Radburn are already lining up to visit.
The couple keep going from strength to strength.

Maybe he’ll call them up to help out with some of the heavy lifting during the renos?
Judging by the tool belt Locky was wearing in his and Irena’s celebratory snap, he’s ready to get started ASAP.
