Well there was no love story for Nick, Brittany or Sophie on this year’s season of The Bachelor and there’s one thing that’s playing on our minds. The ring!

Nick was set to hand over a custom-made ring for his lady love, but alas, it wasn’t meant to be.

So what happens to the ring now? Well the team at Larsen Jewellery have issued a statement and turns out, Nick will not be keeping that nice piece of bling.

“At Larsen Jewellery, we understand that giving a bespoke ring whether it be a commitment, promise or engagement ring, is a very significant and important statement in any relationship, and certainly not something to be taken lightly,” the company shared on Instagram.

“We respect the decision that Nick has made. The ring has been safely delivered back to us this morning and we plan to donate it to charity. We wish Britt, Sophie and Nick all the happiness in the world and look forward to following their journeys to find love.”

That’s one shiny piece of jewellery!

Who designed the ring?

Ever the romantic, Nick Cummins helped the jewellers at Larsen Jewellery design the perfect ring for the winner.

Senior jeweller Kate Reid says, “Nick was extremely enthusiastic about the design process with our team, wanting the ring to encompass the emotional and spiritual journey that he has been through during the show.”

“Nick is deeply spiritual and invested in the power of gemstones and people’s individual energy, so these were elements which he wanted to incorporate into the ring.”

Sorry Nick, no ring for you.

How much is the ring worth?

Well let’s just say Nick Cummins spared no expense.

“The custom made 18ct rose and white gold ring is set with a stunning 6.75ct rectangular cushion cut Malaya garnet, accentuated by two trilliant cut diamonds. There are also fourteen round, brilliant cut diamonds which evenly border the trilliant diamonds.”

But how much is it worth?

According to an insider source who spilled to The Daily Mail, the ring is worth over $20,000. Not bad Honey Badger!

The winner’s ring was rumoured to cost over $20,000.

The 2018 Bachelor finale will go down in the history books as the most shocking and unexpected moment in Australian TV.

Both Brittany Hockley and Sophie Tieman were dumped with Nick proclaiming that he could not commit to either woman.
