For anyone else frantically Googling when Australian Survivor: Champions versus Contenders will be back on our screens, fear not!

Channel Ten have finally given us a premiere date via a gloriously dramatic video – and it’s a lot sooner than we expected.

In a video shared to the Australian Survivor social pages, a series of Facebook comments from impatient Aussies are shown before host Jonathan LaPaglia pops on to the screen.

“Well there’s been a lot of talk about when Australian Survivor‘s coming back. Survivors ready? Here it is,” he says.

And drumroll please … the date is Wednesday July 24th on Network Ten. That’s not long to go at all!

So far, we know that the Champions versus Contenders theme is back for this year’s fourth season, following the success of 2018 when we saw Olympian Shane Gould crowned winner.

The competitors will be pushed to their limits in beautiful Savusavu, Fiji and of course, the gorgeous Jonathan LaPaglia is back as host and he reckons this will be the best series yet.

“The contestants are out there to win and play the game hard and the contenders are absolutely ready to take on the champions and take back the crown of sole survivor,” he previously told TV WEEK.

“The challenges are bigger, the weather is wilder and the social game has gone to another level. It’s going to be a fun ride.”

In the mix this year for the Champions, we’ll see NRL legend Andrew Ettingshausen, Boost CEO Janine Allis and iconic Aussie Olympian Steven Bradbury fight for the title of sole survivor, but we reckon Channel Ten are saving their secret weapons for later.

Bring on July 24!
