Plus-size model Laura lost weight living on rice and lentils on Australian Survivor: Brains V Brawn.

But the change in her shape didn’t bother her.

“I lost about six kilos, but quickly put that back on when I got out,” she tells TV WEEK.

“Even if the weight had kept off, I’d continue to model. I might have a few different clients, but that’s OK.”

Laura Wells reveals she ‘doesn’t care’ if she lost weight in Survivor.

Laura, 36, has been modelling since uni and spent years based in New York and London.

She’s been a size 14 since the age of 14.

“I’ve been told to lose weight, I’ve been told to gain weight before in the industry,” she says.

“I refuse to do any of it. I am who I am.”

However, she’s had to laugh watching herself without make-up and covered in dirt on Survivor.

“I look putrid all the time!” she declares.

With a degree in biology, Laura has been seen on kids’ science show Get Clever and National Geographic.

She’ll soon be filming a new TV series highlighting companies doing good things for the planet.

“For me, it’s not about the size of my thighs or anything like that,” she explains. “It’s about what I give back.”

Australian Survivor: Brains v Brawn airs Monday and Tuesday, and Sunday, 7.30pm on 10.
