The 2018 season of Australian Survivor has finally been given an official premiere date!

Australian Survivor: Champions Versus Contenders is set to air at 7.30pm on Wednesday 1 August, on TEN and WIN Network.

The series, which will be set for the very first time in Savusavu in Fiji, is set to pit 12 everyday ‘contenders’ against 12 ‘champions’ of Australian society.

Each contestant will fight to survive epic challenges and tropical elements for 50 days, in a bid to be crowned Australian Survivor and win the incredible prize of $500,000.

Known ‘champions’ entering the competition include Rugby legend Mat Rogers, AFLW player Moana Hope, and Olympian Shane Gould.

Of being approached to join the game, Mat says he’s thrilled.

“[I] was a huge fan from the very first series,” he says. “We used to have survivor nights at mum and dad’s place.”
