Meet the single parents and the 'spy kids' taking control of their dating life on My Mum Your Dad

Dad: Shannon, 51 with Daughter: Katie, 19

This charming and fun dad, Shannon is a successful real estate agent from Noosa. In his search for love, Shannon hopes to regain his confidence and self-love.

After 30 years together, his ex-wife remains Shannon's best friend and actually encouraged him to audition for My Mum Your Dad.

Meanwhile daughter Katie is confident and very protective of her father.

Dad: Tom, 53 with Daughter: Chloe, 21

This father of two is the owner of a successful mortgage broking business and is looking for someone who complements his life.

Tom has been unlucky in love following his divorce eight years ago, he did however, get engaged to another woman which sadly ended after they couldn't blend their families.

Chloe recently represented Queensland in the Miss Universe contest, so she knows how to command a room.

Dad: Masi, 52 with Son: Harper, 18

Masi is a ladies man with no trouble meeting women, however, finding someone on his level remains the struggle.

His type? Women younger than him. A dating demographic which his son, Harper thinks should change.

Tom is also looking for an athletic, energetic woman who loves the beach and outdoors.

Dad: Wes, 48 with Son: Jake, 21

Wes is the typical Aussie man who gains a lot of female attention with his skills in surfing, snowboarding and motorbike riding. Jake truly is his father's son, who also loves adrenaline pumping sports.

Wes and Jake's mum separated nearly two decades ago. His most recent relationship ended five years ago when his partner cheated on him.

Dan: Ben, 51 with Twins: Jasmine and Jaxon, 18

Due to Ben's occupation as an international pilot, it's difficult to find a connection and dating apps have been a complete bust.

He hopes to find someone kind and adventurous, but everything could come crashing down if their children don't accept his love interest and the twins are cutthroat when it comes to dating advice.

Jasmine is an aviation student while Jaxon is a chef. The twins hope their dad finds someone who is family-orientated, smart and loves the beach.

Dad: Simmo, 54 with Daughter: Sarah, 21

Simmo, a surfer enthusiast and proud father, supposedly gets a lot of attention from women yet doesn't even notice it according to his daughter, Sarah.

Simmo and ex-wife fell out of love, but it was his most recent relationship that left him heartbroken when his ex-fiancée broke off the engagement.

Simmo hopes to find the female version of himself, or Jennifer Anniston – his ideal woman.

Mum: Nadia, 47 with Daughter, Mona, 25

Nadia is a fiercely independent woman who, since her divorce, has kept her dating life hidden from her children including not introducing them to her ex-partner of two years.

Mona, an influencer and her mum's "right hand," see's her mother as passionate, loving and hard-headed.

In the experiment, Nadia is hoping to find a tall, education, ambitious, generous and kind partner.

Mum: Kim, 57 with Daughter: Chelsea, 21

Confident mum, Kim is accustomed to male attention but there are 'slim pickings' in WA and is considering relocating to the East Coast to find the one.

Kim and Chelsea's father split when their daughter was just one year old.

Meanwhile, Chelsea cannot wait to take control of her mum's dating life as she often goes for men with red flags, falls too easily or good-looking guys who have lots of women after them.

Mum: Janine, 53 and Daughter: Tiarn, 22

Prior to the show, Janine was going on three dates per week, so it isn't difficult for this mum to find a man. However, she is quick to judge and kick men to the curb.

Janine is searching for a man at least six-foot tall, handsome, fun, no baggage and takes care of himself.

Tiarn isn't afraid to tell her mum if she believes someone isn't right for her.

Mum: Dani, 51 with Son: Brandon, 28

Dani has been single for four years after sadly losing her third husband, aka her "Mr Right," following a cardiac arrest.

The mother-of-three doesn't want love to pass her by and feels it is time to find someone new.

Brandon, who manages his late stepdads gym, is very protective of his mother and wishes to see her happy. His biggest concern is that Dani has a habit of losing herself in the men she is dating.

Mum: Michelle, 48 with Son: Jesse, 26

Michelle loves to be in control and often seeks men who need a 'fix,' all traits she is hoping to change on My Mum Your Dad.

The relationship with Jesse's father fell apart after the pair got together too young. Michelle's last relationship three years ago was toxic.

Son, Jesse is extremely protective of his mum and cannot wait to take control of her dating life to find someone who melds well with the family.

Mum: Rebecca, 52 with Daughter: Gracie, 20

After separating from her ex-husband six years ago, Rebecca has dabbled in dating but hasn't been on a date in over a year.

Proud First Nations woman, Rebecca is flirty, quirky and knowns how to make people laugh – something a trait her daughter, Gracie has in common.

Mum: Donna, 51 with Daughter: Steph, 27

Bright and vivacious mother of four, Donna hopes to find someone who loves her unconditionally and accepts her past.

Meanwhile, Steph thinks her mum's ideal partner is a cashed-up man who loves to travel, and has good manners.

She has been single for three years after her ex-fiancé broke off the engagement.
