With the My Kitchen Rules crown and $250,000 prize money in sight, it seems contestants are willing to do anything to win.

This week, one team will do the unthinkable and break the rules. It rocks kitchen headquarters.

“If we give up now, it’s gone,” one of the culprits is overheard saying.

“We’re going to lose all our chances. We can’t give up now; we’re going to give every bit of fight we have in us.”

Meanwhile, fellow contestant Nic looks on in disbelief.

“I can’t watch,” he says. “That’s a red card, isn’t it?”

Josh & Nic, Henry & Anna and Alex & Emily are three of the top six teams.

The cheating scandal follows the biggest MKR controversy yet.

This season of MKR was the first to see a team kicked off the show. Judge Manu Feildel sent besties Sonya and Hadil packing after an on-going feud with sisters Jess and Emma was taken too far.

While both teams have since apologised for their actions, Manu defends his decision to remove the Jordinian friends from the table.

“We have been doing this [judging MKR] for a long time, and there’s always a bit of fighting,” Manu explains. “But this was just taking it too far. It wasn’t healthy, and it wasn’t nice.”

While Kim & Suong have secured their spot in the finals, Stella & Jazzey and Olga & Valeria are still hoping for a place.

In more controversy, the lead up to the final sees not one but two teams leave the show on the same night. It marks another first in MKR‘s history.

Three teams have already secured their spot in the semi-finals: Josh & Nic, Alex & Emily and Kim & Suong.

It leaves Stella & Jazzey, Olga & Valeria and Henry & Anna to battle it out for the coveted place in the finals. Who will it be?
