Billie and Sarah’s journey on the show proved that since their previous seasons, they have excelled as cooks.

When Billie was asked by TV WEEK why it felt right to return to the show that kicked off her career, she explained how becoming a mum gave her the push she needed.

“I feel like the phone call to come back to MasterChef came at a perfect time for me,” she said.

“As a new mum and not really having a clear idea of what I wanted to do, I was really quite anxious about how to get where I wanted to be. Sleep deprivation and a small child will do that to you! MasterChef has given me so much, but most of all it’s given me confidence. I will be forever grateful for that.”

“My style has changed significantly since my first season.”

“My style has changed significantly since my first season, and I’m happy to have that acknowledged,” she said.

“It means a lot for me being a single mum and showing Phoenix that if you set your mind to something, with hard work and dedication, you can achieve it.”

Coming in third place was Daniel Lamble, the last-standing fan. Watch his elimination in the player below.
