Ultimately, both contestants proved they can handle the gruelling nature of the famous kitchen.
Billie and Sarah were tasked with overcoming two rounds during their final race to the finish line.
In round one, the final two cooks had to choose between a mystery box, cooking to a brief, or a cloche with one or two ingredients that must be used in their dish.
Then for the final round, judges Andy Allen, Jock Zonfrillo, and Melissa Leong introduced legendary chef Heston Blumenthal who revealed the finalists had five hours and 15 minutes to replicate his taffety tart.

Billie and Sarah's journey on the show proved that since their previous seasons, they have excelled as cooks.
When Billie was asked by TV WEEK why it felt right to return to the show that kicked off her career, she explained how becoming a mum gave her the push she needed.
"I feel like the phone call to come back to MasterChef came at a perfect time for me," she said.
"As a new mum and not really having a clear idea of what I wanted to do, I was really quite anxious about how to get where I wanted to be. Sleep deprivation and a small child will do that to you! MasterChef has given me so much, but most of all it's given me confidence. I will be forever grateful for that."
"My style has changed significantly since my first season." (Image: Ten)
Sarah also shared with TV WEEK how as a mother, it was important she showed her son Phoenix, 11, the power of trying his best.
"My style has changed significantly since my first season, and I'm happy to have that acknowledged," she said.
"It means a lot for me being a single mum and showing Phoenix that if you set your mind to something, with hard work and dedication, you can achieve it."
Coming in third place was Daniel Lamble, the last-standing fan. Watch his elimination in the player below.
