Celebrity MasterChef is set to air later this year, but two stars have already struck up an endearing bond.
The unexpected friendship between Olympian Ian Thorpe and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Matilda (Tilly) Ramsay is made especially wholesome thanks to one heartwarming reason.
Tilly, 19, is from London, so she is currently worlds away from her support system.

“When you have the pleasure of giving a delightful young person from the other side of the world a hug and a kiss just to make them feel better,” the 38-year-old penned alongside a touching snap of their pair sharing a warm embrace.
Clearly feeling the love Tilly commented on the post, “You are the best ❤️❤️.”
Ian cutely replied, “@tillyramsay NO, you are! ❤️”

Filming for Celebrity MasterChef will kick off on July 15 in Melbourne for three weeks.

It is clear that Tilly and her famous father Gordon have a close relationship with the social media star recently penning a loving message to celebrate Father’s Day in the United Kingdom.
