Celebrity MasterChef is set to air later this year, but two stars have already struck up an endearing bond.
The unexpected friendship between Olympian Ian Thorpe and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's daughter Matilda (Tilly) Ramsay is made especially wholesome thanks to one heartwarming reason.
Tilly, 19, is from London, so she is currently worlds away from her support system.
Ian noticed that Tilly was having a tough time, and although she is no doubt excited to be on the show but in a world of COVID, it can be tough to be far away from home.
"When you have the pleasure of giving a delightful young person from the other side of the world a hug and a kiss just to make them feel better," the 38-year-old penned alongside a touching snap of their pair sharing a warm embrace.
Clearly feeling the love Tilly commented on the post, "You are the best ❤️❤️."
Ian cutely replied, "@tillyramsay NO, you are! ❤️"
Former Packed To The Rafter's star Rebecca Gibney, who will also appear on the reality TV cooking show, took to her Instagram Stories to share a sweet snap of Ian and Tilly.
The post featured Tilly with her arms wrapped around Ian with the caption, "When you find a new friend, you love @tillyramsay and @ian.thorpe ❤️."
Filming for Celebrity MasterChef will kick off on July 15 in Melbourne for three weeks.
While many Aussies may not know who Tilly Ramsay is just yet, the teenager is following in her father's footsteps as a successful TV chef in the UK with her own cooking show called Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch.
It is clear that Tilly and her famous father Gordon have a close relationship with the social media star recently penning a loving message to celebrate Father's Day in the United Kingdom.
"Happy Father's Day Dad!! I couldn't ask for a better dad and best friend!!Thanks for all of your support and love, I don't know where I would be without you!! Wish I could be there today but hope you have the best day!! ❤️❤️ @gordongram," she wrote.
