Becoming Married At First Sight‘s first lesbian couple was always going to bring with it a sense of pressure for newlyweds Tash Herz and Amanda Micallef.

And while the couple did their best to lay their hearts bare at their Melbourne wedding, Woman’s Day hears that behind the scenes, things turned seriously sour for the couple!

According to a production insider, Tash, 31, came close to leaving the experiment entirely after refusing to attend the hotly anticipated first dinner party.

“She told producers she wanted to walk,” dishes our source. “She was very overwhelmed by the whole thing – she expected things to be different and didn’t want to have to justify her feelings to the other participants round the dinner table.”

According to insiders, Tash tried her best to dodge camera crew at the dinner party, and at one stage hid from the show’s producers, who were insisting she explain her feelings to camera throughout the night.

What’s more, it’s understood that 34-year-old strength coach Amanda was almost forced to attend her Daydream Island honeymoon alone!

“It was a sh*t fight trying to convince [Tash] to go on the trip!” says the source, who explains that brunette beauty had made her mind up about Amanda the night of the wedding.

Adding insult to injury, Woman’s Day hears the feisty bartender also launched into a lengthy spray against her bride!

According to our insider, she kept referring to Amanda as a “complete dag” with a “bad sense of humour”, adding she wouldn’t dream of “letting anybody who wears Peter Alexander pyjamas near her vagina”.

With the first commitment ceremony set to take place later this week, there’s no telling if the hot-headed brides can make it work.

Bitter feud: Tash has come choice awards for her bride, Amanda. Ouch!

Cathy’s flirty fling with a bachelor

At this stage of the experiment, beauty guru Cathy Evans appears to be the perfect match for Newcastle-based groom Josh Pihlak.

But in a move suggesting she and the 28-year-old are set to fizzle, the brunette beauty was busted sending former Bachelorette star Jackson Garlick a nude photo!

Rugby player Jackson revealed Cathy had sent him a risque selfie where the bride blocked out her naked body with text. “Sorry I’m naked,” wrote the 26-year-old before revealing she and the reality TV star were “close friends”.
