Married At First Sight viewers were left gobsmacked watching Elizabeth and Sam’s wedding ceremony tonight, after the groom made some shock comments about his bride’s appearance.
Fans weren’t convinced the love experts made the right decision to begin with. Elizabeth is blonde and Sam says he prefers brunettes. Elizabeth is really excited about finding the one, and Sam seems kind of unfazed. Elizabeth is high-energy and Sam is… not.
They may not be the perfect match, but fans were left shocked over what Sam chose to say after meeting his bride.
Sam wasn’t impressed when he saw his bride.
During their wedding photo shoot, the photographer asked Sam to pick up his bride for a few pictures. The camera then cut to Sam giving an interview… where he made a few unpleasant comments about Elizabeth’s appearance.
“I’ve never really dated girls as big as Elizabeth in the past, to be honest,” he says. “It’s obviously a topic that’s troubled her in the past.
“Maybe I’ll get her running in the mornings, maybe I’ll drag her out of bed. She’ll be right. We’ll get her going.”
Yep, he said that.
Sam claims that he struggles to find love because he looks like a player on the dating scene but, perhaps, it could have something to do with the whole saying women you’ve just met need to go for a run thing. Who can say for sure, right?
