The country is still on cloud nine after Married At First Sight star Cam Merchant dropped down to one knee during the Final Vows and asked his on-screen bride Jules Robinson to marry him – for real!

And while fans of the series have their hearts set on another fairytale ending between Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli, Martha, 30, tells TV WEEK she hopes Michael doesn’t propose.

“We just got married three months ago” she says. “I feel like it’s something that you need to sit with, your feelings have to grow, you need time. And then you can propose. Then it makes it so much more special.”

Martha admits that if Michael, 27, ever was to propose she’s not fussy about how it happens.

“I’m simple. I would be happy if we were sitting in the car park eating a pizza,” she explains. “It wouldn’t make a difference.

“I know it comes across as if I’m very demanding on the show, but in reality I’m not like that at all. That’s why me and Michael work so well. I’m pretty easy going and he’s chilled.”

While Martha says she needs more time before making a life-long commitment in the real world, she’s happy for her co-stars Cam and Jules.

“Every case is different. Maybe they were in the moment and really feeling it,” she says of the couple getting engaged after three months.

“But I can’t comment if it’s too soon, I don’t know… They seem so happy. They are perfect for each other, and I guess they are just riding the wave. They are on high. There’s nothing wrong with that.”
