Does anyone else feel like they’re watching Married at First Sight on repeat but with different characters?

Because after Sunday’s controversial commitment ceremony, we’re getting severe Ines Basic/Bronson Norrish de ja vu… and when on earth will this end?

Tonight, we bore witness to Jessika Power’s insane decision to “stay” in the experiment, much to the absolute horror of her husband, Mick Gould – who not only wants to divorce his fake TV wife, but go back to his farm, live a blissful solo life feeding the lambs and sink a few cold ones with Broxy.

While Jess’ decision was completely selfish (“But is it really selfish when it comes to love?” she quipped) and absolutely motivated by the hot sexual chemistry she has with groom Dan Webb; her groom was absolutely gobsmacked she’d decided to “stay”.

“Ya love floggin’ a dead horse don’t ya!” he said to his wife. And no she doesn’t Mick. She just really loves Dan…

And while it is definitely in the Expert’s job description to question this ridic decision, it was actually the pair’s fellow cast mates who did the grilling – and boy oh boy, they did not hold back!

Jules

Jules Robinson was in absolute disbelief over Jessika’s decision to stay and grilled her for it.

“I just don’t get it hun,” Jules said. “He’s here genuinely to find love and things contradict each other. Like it doesn’t add up.”

“I’ve sat here and been so honest about who I am; my past, what I’m here for, being vulnerable, being honest and when I see someone sitting here and I can see that they’re not telling the truth, I find that not fair. And I just don’t understand.”

Jess’ response?

Other people find it easier to be more vulnerable than she does and it’s what she’s “comfortable” with.

“I am here to commit myself to a relationship and try to make it work with someone,” she said.

“Pigs arse!” Mick exclaimed and we couldn’t agree more.

Ning

Jessika’s biggest issue this week was Mick’s unsavoury comments about her family, causing her to want to flee from his farm.

So why would she want to continue?

“If someone was speaking that ill of my family, why would I want to introduce them to my family again?” Ning Suriasing said completely confused.

“Because I think my family deserve the right to rectify any sort of ill…”

Interrupting Ning said: “Couldn’t do it, sorry.”

“Well that’s your views,” Jessika added and ooft.

Cam

While we think a part of this conversation was lost on the editing room floor, Jess talks to the group about the power of communication, but then Cam calls her out at her own game.

“When Jess is talking about communication, I think communication is actually to tell your husband how you actually feel about him,” Cam said.

“And I do tell him that,” Jess responded, at which Mick is having precisely none of:

Martha

Perhaps the most unsurprising response came from Martha, who came to her gal pal’s defence.

“Jess, you said to me, whether you leave, you know, in a relationship, like a romantic relationship with Mick or not, you want to leave on good terms or whatever it is,” she said.

“Maybe it’s her opportunity to mend whatever it is and end on a good note, instead of leaving with a bad taste in their mouth.”

Firstly, Martha – Jessika absolutely told you about her love for Dan and you absolutely are all for it and secondly, no one is buying what you’re selling.
