Whether you believe it or not, the end of 2019 is fast approaching! And with a new year comes a brand new season of Channel Nine’s controversial reality TV series Married At First Sight.

We know, we feel like we just finished watching the last one.

So, how can we follow on from last year’s Elizabeth versus Sam feud, or Cyrell and Martha’s red wine showdown? By investing in the lives of a whole new batch of singles, of course!

In January next year, viewers will be introduced to new participants looking for love with an “expertly-matched” stranger.

The series’ love experts John Aiken, Mel Schilling and Dr Trisha Stratford will return, to guide these lovelorn singles through their new relationships.

In a confusing new trailer, MAFS fans caught their first glimpse of the new cast, including bodybuilder Stacey Hampton and YouTuber Cathy Evans.

Scroll through for the list of participants you can expect to see in the new season of Married At First Sight…

Elizabeth Sobinoff

Following a disastrous stint on this year’s season of MAFS, Elizabeth will return to try her hand at finding love with a new groom. Hopefully one who isn’t like her previous husband, Sam Ball.

After he referred to her as “big” on their wedding day and embarked on an “affair” with Ines Basic, Sam and Elizabeth called it quits. When he didn’t bother showing up to the reunion, she delivered an epic speech that became part of MAFS history.

Here’s hoping this time around, Lizzie finds her perfect match.

AFL player Seb is reportedly being matched with Lizzie. The footballer has previously played for the Northern Territory Thunder and the SANFL Woodville-West Torrens, though he’s retired now, according to SANFL.

MAFS will be Aleksandra’s second shot at reality TV romance, with the stunning brunette having previously appeared on Channel Seven’s Take Me Out.

On the show, she revealed her “deal breaker” is being set up with a gym junkie, so here’s hoping the experts avoid any fitness buffs in their matchmaking.

Cathy will have no trouble talking to the cameras about her love life, with the Kiwi having her own YouTube channel dedicated to sharing her bad dates with her fans.

Steven owns a barbershop in Melbourne, Kingsman Barbers. Touted as the show’s “oldest participant” on this season, we hope to see him matched with a suitable gal.

Amanda Micallef

Amanda will reportedly be one half of the show’s first lesbian couple! The brunette beauty is a bodybuilder and a fitness coach specialising in “strength, physique and mindset.”

Mikey Pembroke

A “real estate and marketing” professional, it looks like Mikey’s got the brains and brawn (and he doesn’t appear to be camera shy). And if you’re interested in a little stalking, we’ve found out everything there is to know about his gorgeous ex-girlfriend, who was a contestant on Ninja Warrior Australia.

Mikey was pictured in the show’s first trailer. We wonder who he’ll be matched with?

Stacey Hampton

According to The Daily Mail, Stacey will be one to watch this season. The single mother and business owner – pictured here in the show’s trailer – will reportedly be the breakout star.
