Love Island’s second season premiered on Channel Nine last night and it took about 20 seconds before one of the insanely ripped contestants was embroiled in a scandal.
While the premise of the reality show is a bunch of young hot singletons are thrown into a villa to find love, it seems one of the contestants may not fit the bill.
According to Instagram fan account @loveslandguru, contestant Maurice Salib, 27, is not as available as his appearance on the show may suggest.
The Instagram page accuses Maurice of secretly dating Instagram model Christie Swadling and shared a photo of the pair looking pretty cosy.

“I’ve been speaking to a certain someone, and he won’t be running away from this one.”
While Christie is noticeablely absent from Maurice’s Instagram page, the Love Island star features prominently on the Sydney-based influencer’s feed.

Last year, eventual winner Grant Crapp came under fire after it was revealed he had a secret girlfriend, Lucy Cartwright, who was waiting for him at home.
While Grant claimed to have been single for more than two years before hitting the villa, he was pictured with Lucy and her family in cosy social media posts just before leaving for Spain, where Love Island was filmed.
He was also still posting pictures and gushy comments about her just weeks before he jetted off.

During his time in the villa, Grant struck up relationships with Cassidy McGill and Tayla Damir, ultimately winning the show with the latter by his side.
However, the pair quickly called it quits after the show wrapped and Grant went back to Lucy, and the couple are currently together.
So could Maurice be trying to take a leaf out of Grant’s book? Let’s see if it pays off for him!
