His relationship with Tayla Damir has been the talk of the island. And it seems it’s not just his fellow contestants who have been less than impressed by Grant Crapp’s behaviour.

The Love Island Australia villain admits his parents were furious when they discovered he was going on the show.

“Mum and Dad were very unhappy,” the 22-year-old electrician reveals. “They understood my circumstances in pursuing that chance, but it took a while.”

Despite their disapproval, Grant hopes his parents are proud of him.

“I had a very good upbringing,” he says. “My parents taught me to be a good man – although sometimes I can’t help but be a little mischievous.”

Meanwhile Grant’s controversial romance with Tayla, 21, is getting stronger. So will there be a Love Island wedding at the end?

“I definitely want to get married,” he hints.
