They've been hosts of the reality show since day one. But Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown are "hoping" to see the show return for a fifth season, though they admit the future is looking uncertain.
Network Ten's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! – which is filmed in South Africa – is notoriously expensive to produce. It's yet to be renewed after the fourth season aired earlier this year.
"We're really hoping for a recommission," an optimistic Julia, 50, tells TV WEEK. "We're generally crossing everything.
"You know what television is like in this day and age. It could go either way. I feel like we aren't ready to say goodbye to Africa yet."
Chris, 39, echoes his co-host's hopes for more time in the jungle.
"It would be very exciting. We feel the best years of the show are still to come," he admits.
"There are a lot of other things we want to explore over there – a few more buttons to press with the celebs. They haven't eaten everything in the jungle there."
Plus, Chris isn't ready to bid farewell to his charming co-shot Julia.
"I think that is an on-air relationship that continues to evolve," he says. "I don't know where it will go next.
"We have a ball over there – it's like our own little private jungle tree house that some how we are licensed to perform in."
I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! first aired in Australia in February 2015, and sees various celebrities compete in challenges for their chance to win $100,000 to be donated to their chosen charity.
Previous winners of the reality series are Freddie Flintoff, Brendan Fevola, Casey Donovan and Fiona O'Loughlin.
There's no word yet on whether or not the series will return, though we certainly hope so!
