The Bold And The Beautiful star Katherine Kelly Lang will bank almost $400,000 for her short stint in the jungle, while former AFL stars Dermott Brereton and Shane Crawford are rumoured to have been paid a whopping $250,000 each.

The rest of the cast, including Richard Reid, Jacqui Lambie, Natasha Exelby, Sam Dastyari, Justin Lacko, Luke Jacobz and Tahir Bilgic will earn between $20,000 and $40,000 each.

However, popular Gogglebox stars Angie Kent and Yvie Jones were paid a rumoured $10,000 each to participate.

“Angie and Yvie seem to think they’ll get their own shows out of it, but it’s not likely,” reported our set insider.

“And since they’ve worked out how poorly they’ve been paid, there’s been a lot of bitching behind the scenes.”

The news comes after it was revealed Angie and Yvie are front runners to become joint Bachelorettes later this year.

“Angie and Yvie are firm favourites at Ten. They love them over there,” an insider revealed to Woman’s Day.

“But the girls are a two-for-one package when it comes to projects.”

As for the pay discrepancies, it seems the pairing might be getting a rough deal as previous reports claim stars in previous seasons earned upwards of $10,000 per show.

What’s more, famed cricketer Shane Warne was reportedly paid a whopping $2 million for his appearance on the show in 2016.

In addition, former contestant Tom Arnold was reportedly offered $US425,000 to appear on the show, according to News.com.au. Today, the payment would equate to a whopping $AUD589,447.

For that amount, we’d be putting our hands up to rough it in the jungle too!

Eliminated contestant Ajay Rochester slums it at $20-a-night hostel

Insiders reveal that when Ajay Rochester was kicked out of the jungle, she flew back to Australia – and booked into a $20-a-night room in a backpackers hostel in Glebe, Sydney!

The former host of The Biggest Loser host has made no secret in recent years she struggles to make ends meet.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw her checking into a share room at the Village Backpackers,” reported an onlooker.

Ajay was candid about her struggles on the show during her stint in the jungle, telling campers her harrowing back story.

Rochester went to court for welfare fraud in 2009, and pleaded guilty to obtaining a financial benefit by deception, which resulted in an over payment of $14,000.

At the time, Ajay was attempting to pay the money back, which was noted as a mitigating factor – and she avoided a criminal record.

Despite this, the 49-year-old was still heavily impacted by the ordeal.

Detailing that time as “four years of hell and torture”, Ajay said it had come at a cost – particular given her son, Kai, has Asperger’s syndrome.
