Roughing in the South African jungle since January 5, the I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestants have been forced to live without their usual creature comforts and daily habits – including keeping up with the news.
So when gossip guru Perez Hilton entered the jungle with news of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's unprecedented departure from their senior royal duties, the stars were gobsmacked.
In the scenes, which will air tonight on I'm A Celeb, Perez gathers the campmates to fill them in.
"Let me tell you, this story has been huge globally for the last two week. So just after you guys entered the camp, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced to the world that they wanted to step down as senior royals," Perez revealed.
A shocked Myf Warhurst gasped: "They abdicated?"
Perez responded that it wasn't as simple as that, explaining: "Not quite, they kind of want their cake and eat it too… They want to live in Canada."
Tanya Hennessy was visibly shocked, and later said to camera: "What the hell? I can 100% understand why they want to make this decision. Because Canada has really good waffles."
Perez also divulged that Harry and Meghan had gone rogue to announce the news only 10 minutes after telling the Queen and revealed that footage had been leaked of Harry asking the Disney CEO for voiceover work for Meghan.
British reality star Charlotte Crosby weighed in with a UK native's perspective.
"I'm not really surprised, I mean it's shocking. I can't imagine what me mam's like," she said.
"Me mam likes the royals. Drama, Drama, Drama in England. Who would have thought that!"

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan made the bombshell announcement just four days after the contestants entered the jungle.
Sharing a lengthy statement on their Instagram page, Sussex Royal, the couple announced they will be stepping back from their royal duties this year as they split their time between the UK and North America.
"After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution," the pair wrote.
"We intend to step back as 'senior' members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen."
I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs tonight on Network Ten from 7.30pm
