Dancing With The Stars alumni Grant Denyer and Amanda Keller are the perfect choices to host the rebooted series.

“It [Dancing With The Stars] was one of the most incredible experiences in my life,” Grant, 41, explains to TV WEEK. “Dancing to ‘Singing In The Rain’ was one of the most glamorous, unexpected things I’ve ever done. It brought my grandma to tears!

“I’m now looking forward to bringing the next crop through.”

Grant says he and co-host Amanda know all too well what this year’s contestants will have to endure in the competition.

“Because we’ve both been on the show before, we can support the contestants,” he says. “We know what they’re going through.”

Grant and Amanda both appeared on the show in 2006. Amanda progressed to the fifth round, while Grant went on to win the series.

While Amanda, 56, looks back on her experience with fond memories, she appreciates how gruelling the process can be.

“I loved learning the dances,” she says. “But it’s really hard to learn a new one every week and have the judges tell you what they think.

“I have a lot of empathy for people who are having a more difficult time along the journey.”

Dancing With The Stars premieres soon on Network 10.
