It's a week of dizzying highs and devastating lows for Zoe George on Big Brother, but you won't catch the Melbourne mummy blogger and woodwork teacher tearing up on camera.
"I entered to show Australia that mums can do anything," Zoe, 39, who is mother to son Ari, six, and daughter Ambrosia, four, explains.
"I didn't want to be the one who cried about missing her kids, because it just gives the other housemates a reason to vote me out. So every time I get emotional, I put my head under the blanket.
"When I get a letter from home saying my son has shaved a Z into his head because he misses me, I have a bit of a breakdown. There were tears on my pillow."
Another big moment was wearing a swimsuit on TV. Zoe tipped the scales at "well over 80kg" after giving birth to her daughter, but with diet and exercise, she went into the house weighing 73kg.
"I spent years putting my kids first and feeling bad about my body," Zoe confesses. "But when I saw a photo where I looked like a cross between a walrus and a hippo, I realised I needed to start caring for myself.
"I was nervous about putting on a pair of bathers because there were cameras capturing every angle and I knew my students would be watching, but I'm all about loving your curves, so I had to practise what I preach and get over it.
"I actually end up losing four kilos in the house because we're on rations, so there's nothing to snack on. I'm stoked!"
Not so great was the moment Zoe had to make a dash from the pool to the bathroom after eating KFC.
"I was hospitalised for emergency gall bladder removal in 2018," she says. "It means certain foods go straight through me. I was in so much pain!" [Laughs]
