The game has barely begun and already it’s clear Big Brother is NOT messing around this year.

In the first episode alone the new house’s latest contraptions came into play with Daniel recruiting Nick for a secret task that saw the duo escape the house through a cavity in the couch.

Yes, the couch.

We just know there’s going to be plenty more where that came from.

Things are getting heated in the eviction room.

The first eviction advantage was also put into motion on night one with Daniel ruthlessly using his one and only vote to evict Max despite not needing to evict anyone.

The housemates came to play, proving Big Brother isn’t the only one who isn’t messing around.

With all their eyes on the prize the Big Brother game is well and truly on.

Let’s see who didn’t have what it takes to make it as the last housemate standing.

Danny

Danny

One of Big Brother Australia’s best game players to date, Daniel Hayes, was booted from the show in what was dramatically deemed a “blindside”.

After Ari placed the real estate agent up for eviction alongside Sarah Jane, the master manipulator rallied Christina to send one of the biggest threats packing from the house.

And “the rat”, as Big Brother calls him, succeeded.

Sid

Sid

Despite an emotional final plea to stay, up against Ari, the Big Brother housemates voted to evict Sid.

Adriana

Adriana

With SJ managing to save herself from eviction again, the vote came down to Adriana and Christina.

In a surprise outcome, the 21-year-old’s pleas to stay and win the much-needed money for her family resulted in Adri being sent home.

Tilly

Tilly

After receiving a second chance landing her in a mirrored hell-like limbo, Tilly’s fate came down to a game of luck. And unfortunately her’s was up.

Charlotte

Marley’s deal with the devil, aka Danny, led to ANOTHER blindside, sending Charlotte packing.

Mary

Mary

When Marley nominated Mary as his safe vote and part of a deal he made with Danny and SJ, he and his house mum were mortified to discover they had been blindsided.

(Channel Seven)

Jess

Jess thought she’d be safe when put up against SJ and Ari.

But when Danny helped Ari escape eviction, the AFL player had no chance competing against beloved “mum” of the house Sarah Jane.

Christina’s epic blindside had worked and Jess spilled to Now To Love on their un-aired feud.

Brenton

Brenton

Entering the house as an intruders was hard enough for Brenton. Throw in a budding romance with Christina, and a target was firmly on his back

In an interview with New Idea, Brenton confessed that, although his romance with Christina potentially had a hand in his elimination, he has no regrets about how things played out.

“I definitely don’t regret that part of it,” Brenton said. “I think I could have gone home anyway regardless of whether I was with Christina or not.

“I think it’s pretty clear that the intruders are getting picked off one by one, especially anyone that’s got physical abilities.”

Mitch

Mitch

After breaking a record by winning her fifth challenge, key player Tilly placed 27-year-old Mitch on the eviction chopping block, along with the “walking dead” Christina and Brenton.

In the end, the lovebirds were saved while the FIFO worker was sent packing.

Gabe

Gabe

Despite being saved from eviction, intruder Gabe voluntarily left the competition after confessing to Big Brother that he was “struggling” with the experience and assimilating into the house.

Charlotte

Charlotte

After intruder Mitch won the nominations challenge, he placed Ari, Charlotte and Gabe up for eviction. However, Ari was spared from the chopping block due to a technical fault making it impossible for him to win the challenge, which all but sealed Char’s fate.

Alex

Alex

With only one spot left in the house for the intruders to fight over it came down to twin sisters Alex and Charlotte.

Alex sacrificed her spot in the house for her twin after hours battling it out in a gruelling challenge.

Katie

Katie

Despite their initial rivalry Katie put her trust in Daniel.

And it proved the ultimate mistake as he masterminded the perfect blindside eviction.

Mel

Mel

As her alliance with Dan and Nick has been slowly picked off by rivals in the house – Katie, Jess and Marley – the writing was on the wall for the 33-year-old.

(Channel Seven)

Nick

Nick

The first of his tight-knit alliance to fall, Nick felt betrayed when close-friend, Mel, voted against him to save herself.

Speaking to Now To Love, he said of the shock moment: “She obviously put her vote on me to save herself but fair play to her, she obviously wanted it more than I did, there’s no hard feelings.”

Mitch

Mitchell

After Tilly won yet another nominations challenge, she put Sid, SJ and Mitchell on the chopping block.

Despite his desperate pleas to his fellow contestants, in which he compared them to his favourite birds, Mitch’s roomies sent him flying from the Big Brother nest.

Carlos

Carlos

Coffee-loving Carlos, 39, from Colombia has said goodbye to the Big Brother house during Surprise Week.

After Tilly placed Carlos, Charlotte and Jess up for eviction, attic-dwellers Sarah Jane and Mary convinced Sid to rally contestants to keep Jess in the competition. As a result, Carlos was sent packing from the Big Brother house.

With Daniel out to get him not even a little magic could save Chris from eviction.

Renata

Renata

Fiery mum-of-two, Renata, didn’t muddle her words or hide her feelings when she was nominated in what she told Now To Love she believed to be a “revenge” move.

As she left she hugged a few select housemates before blanking the rest.

Lil

Flex Mami aka Lil

We didn’t see enough of Flex on the show. The TV and podcast star summed up our feelings perfectly, writing: “And just like that, she’s GONE!!! Issa travesty @bigbrotherau !!!”

(Channel Seven)

Max

Max

The Gold Coast ironman’s fate was in Daniel’s hands after he’d secured the power to send anyone home with his single vote.

And, unfortunately for Max, Daniel showed no mercy.

Speaking to New Idea, Max revealed why he thought Daniel sent him packing, stating, “I didn’t get voted out because I was hated, I got voted out because one guy was scared, that’s all”.
