Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich, who met on The Bachelor Australia’s first season, are the show’s OG dream couple.

But a lot has happened since Anna stepped out of that limo at the mansion in 2013. Back then, Tim was just a 30 year-old chiropractor dating 25 women at once and Anna was a 26-year-old criminal lawyer who’d never had a serious relationship.

Now they’re social media superstars and in 2018 became Australia’s first Mr and Mrs Bachie in a stunning ceremony in Puglia, Southern Italy.

In November 2020, Tim and Anna’s love grew even more when they welcomed their first child together, an adorable daughter named Elle.

In the 18 months since, Anna and Tim have only fallen more in love with their little girl (and with each other) celebrating every little moment and major milestone with her.

Take a look back at Tim and Anna’s road to romance and how these two genetically-blessed humans found love.

It was love at first sight

Before coming on the show, Tim said, “It is definitely a different process but I’m just going to throw myself out there and hopefully there is someone here who’s willing to take a chance like I am and someone that I can spend the rest of my life with.”

Anna, who had never had a boyfriend before she appeared on The Bachelor proudly proclaimed, “This will be the first boyfriend and the last!”

“She looked dazzling, amazing and I really liked the little husky voice, it was sexy.” Safe to say Tim was smitten from their first meeting.

“This would have to be one of the most romantic things I’ve ever done.” Tim took Anna on the very first single date.

Anna made it to the very end and she and Tim became Australia’s first Bachelor couple. And it’s lucky she did, because she almost backed out on day one!

The blonde beauty confessed, “My mum dropped me off — and I rang her and was like, ‘Oh my god Mum, I can’t do this, they’re all models, I’m so out of my league.'”

Going public

Once they could reveal their relationship to the world, it was the start of many glorious Instagram posts celebrating their love. And we were (and still are) all for it.

Anna revealed that even though she went back to her career as a criminal lawyer, it took some time to adjust to a real relationship after the show.

“It took probably a good year or so. I was still wary of the fact that we were in the limelight and people wanted us to be together, so we had to separate that from our real relationship,” she said.

He put a ring on it!

In May 2017, Tim popped the question on a dinghy during a romantic trip to Chamberlain Gorge in Western Australia.

Speaking to Stellar magazine, Tim says his heart was “thumping” as he tried to fly his drone and prepare himself to propose.

“And I say, ‘You know what would be good right now? A bloody cold beer.’ And then I say, ‘What would make it better for you?’ And she goes, ‘I don’t know, a cold washer?’ So I say … ‘What if I professed my love for you and said every moment in the last whatever years has been amazing?’

“I was already on my knees. I reached in my pocket, and I had a little box, and she just started bawling.”

Anna shared this photo to announce her engagement to Tim in May 2017.

The wedding of the year!

Tim and Anna tied the knot in June 2018 and for those of us who were unlucky to get an invite, they uploaded plenty of snaps from their lavish Italian wedding and their dreamy honeymoon.

The bride wore a stunning Steven Khalil gown and her bridal squad was made up of her friends Elissa Griffin and Caroline Matson as well as her sisters Andrea and Charlotte Heinrich.

If the Robards wedding wasn’t enough of a celebration, the pool party on the day after their wedding definitely took it to the next level.

Anna, Tim and their close friends and family partied around the pool at the Masseria Potenti hotel with drinks, countless inflatables and DJ Aaron Asare blasting everyone’s favourite party anthems before setting sail on their honeymoon with their nearest and dearest around the Mediterranean.

Doting parents

Taking to Instagram in May 2020, nearly two years after tying the knot, Tim and Anna announced they were expecting their first child together!

The loved-up couple shared the big announcement with a set of candid pictures showcasing Anna’s blossoming bump.

Alongside a set of black-and-white pictures, Anna wrote: “It’s been so hard to keep this a secret, over the past few months, but I can now finally shout… I’M PREGNANT!!!”

Meanwhile Tim shared in the excitement of his pending fatherhood.

“I can’t wait to be a Dad!!! The giddy feelings in my stomach show there must be a few nerves, but I know Anna’s going to be an absolutely amazing mother and I couldn’t be more excited to start a family with her,” Tim said at the time.

Shortly after, they celebrated their impending arrival with a lavish gender reveal party, confirming they were expecting a little girl.

However, Anna’s pregnancy wasn’t without its struggles. The parents-to-be were separated for much of 2020 due to COVID travel restrictions.

With pregnant Anna living at home in Sydney, Tim was stuck in Melbourne filming his role on Neighbours playing businessman Pierce Greyson.

Anna and Tim have kept their fans updated for every adorable milestone in Elle’s life.

As the second wave hit and travel became all but impossible interstate, Tim made the “gut wrenching” decision to quit the beloved soap.

“That was probably one of the most stressful times in my life,” Tim told Now To Love. “It was such a big decision that I didn’t take lightly. I wasn’t sleeping well, I was so stressed out.”

But, ultimately, Anna and his growing family had to take priority.

“I made the gut-wrenching decision to depart Neighbours early as my responsibilities as a husband and father have to take precedence. If I’ve learnt anything in this pandemic it’s that the health and wellbeing of my family has to come first,” Tim explained.

Elle is the perfect combination of her genetically-blessed parents.

Back home with Anna, Tim was present for the arrival of their beautiful daughter with the couple announcing the news on November 14 2020.

“Introducing the newest addition to our family 🖤,” Anna shared via Instagram with a gorgeous shot with her baby girl.

Since then, Anna and Tim have kept their fans updated for every adorable milestone in Elle’s life.

In May 2022, the Bachie couple took Elle on her first overseas holiday to Fiji. Tim confessed on Instagram: “Elle’s first international flight could not have gone better… except maybe if she slept the whole time.”

The sweetest little family-of-three!

A few months later, in July, Tim and Anna had their first major parenting scare after Elle ended up in hospital with a sprained wrist.

Tim took to Instagram to praise little Elle for her resilience throughout the daunting situation.

“She’s such a trooper, crying in pain at times with movement but then she’s quick to put me at ease and tell me she’s ‘happy’… ‘happy Daddy’,” he penned.

“One of the hardest parts of parenthood is seeing your child in pain.”

Here’s to many more years of blissful love for Anna and Tim!
