We’ve got something to admit.

When Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry announced they would be stepping back from their roles as senior royal family members, there was one big red flag that crossed our minds.

Of course, we were upset about the idea of seeing far less of the royal couple, and even more so, less of their adorable baby Archie.

But the main thing we couldn’t help but despair over, the one thing we going to miss possibly more than anything else? Meghan’s flawless fashion.

Oh yes, you cannot deny that ever since Meghan entered into the royal fold, her fashion choices have made an impact far greater than anyone expected.

Famed for sparking a phenomenon known as the ‘Meghan Effect’, the Duchess has single-handedly thrust little-known brands into the spotlight, catapulting them onto the world stage and sent sales surging with the simple act of wearing their clothes.

She’s put it to seriously good use too. Ever the socially conscious and environmental warrior, Meghan has made a point of wearing brands with sustainable and ethical practices.

Now, as she fulfils her final month of duties before officially stepping back alongside Prince Harry on March 31, we reckon she’s saved her best outfits for last.

In her first official appearance since the bombshell announcement was made, Meghan attended the Endeavour Fund Awards on March 5 wearing a blue Victoria Beckham dress that was the epitome of what royal fashion is: Aspirational, relateable and oh-so-chic.

But it didn’t end there. If you keep scrolling, you’ll find the Duchess has put on her best regal fashion display yet as she wraps up her final engagements as a senior royal.

Keep scrolling as we lament the style maven that is Meghan Markle. As for what comes next? Who knows…

For her final engagement as a working senior royal, Meghan wore a beautiful navy midi dress by Australain label Scanlan Theodore. The Melbourne-based brand’s chic short sleeve silhouette and regal hue was the best way to end with a bang – in our not-so-biased opinion!

The event saw the Duchess host 11 Scholars at Buckingham Palace who each represented different Commonwealth nations. At the royal residence, they discussed sustainability and economical opportunities for developing countries.

Stepping out for their final public royal appearance before officially retiring from their senior roles, Meghan was a green goddess in this gorgeous caped Emilia Wickstead number. Details around Duchess Meghan’s intentions to mark International Women’s Day on March 8 were kept very hush hush, so it came as the best surprise when it was revealed the royal had made a secret visit to an East London School. Meghan whacked together an apt all-female designed outfit, including a cream ME+EM tweet blazer, Jennifer Chamandi Lorenzo pumps and a chic purse by Rejina Pyo.

Meghan made a fiery red statement as she attended the Mountbatten Music Festival on March 7. The Duchess opted for this glorious Safiyaa dress. The style is clearly a favourite for the Duchess – she previously wore a blue version of the frock back in 2018 while touring Fiji.

Theatre

In a delightful surprise, Harry and Meghan’s Instagram account, Sussex Royal, revealed the Duchess had made a secret visit to the National Theatre, where she had visited the Immersive Storytelling Studio based in London. While it was exciting to see the Duchess back in action, we were downright ecstatic to ogle over her stunning outfit. Yep, a gorgeous puff-sleeve top by none other than High Street retailer TopShop, paired with a pencil skirt by Roland Mouret was nothing short of divine.
