Nine sports presenter Erin Molan has announced her shock split from fiancé Sean Ogilvy.

The pair had been together for four years and share daughter Eliza, whom they welcomed in June 2018.

Erin shared the bombshell news via Instagram, where she posted a simple statement outlining their split and requesting privacy in this painful time.

“Some personal news, Sean and I have separated,” Erin began her post.

“We are entirely committed to co-parenting our 3 year-old daughter, who is the most important person in the world to both of us.”

She continued: “Any breakdown of a family unit is incredibly difficult and we ask for privacy at this time – especially given the private approach that we have taken to our relationship.

“We won’t be making any furtter comment, thank you.”

Erin and Sean announced their engagement in April 2017, one year after they started dating, and welcomed Eliza the following year.

They chose to keep much of their relationship private and Erin rarely shared details of their engagement.

As for Eliza, the doting mum regularly shares snaps of her little girl on social media and made it clear in her statement that she and Sean are equally dedicated to their daughter.

In 2020 Erin told TV WEEK about how she prioritises Eliza while working as a presenter, even knocking back work that would take her away from her daughter.

“It was hard for me to say no,” Erin admits. “But I said no for her and for me, because I want to be with her.”

And while she’s working, Erin does everything she can to keep Eliza involved, even getting her hair and makeup done with her little girl in her lap.

“The thought of looking back and regretting not having a lot of time with her, or regretting putting other things ahead of her, would just make me feel physically ill.

“Being the best mum to her is my priority times a billion over anything else.”
