There must be something in the water over at Channel Nine because the network has experienced a baby boom in the last year.

And it’s still going!

Live on air this morning Today‘s sports presenter Alex Cullen very casually, and we mean very, revealed mid conversation he and wife Bonnie are expecting baby number three.

Alex dropped the exciting news while talking about Tasmania’s famously stunning Wine Glass Bay, a location he revealed was one of his first getaway’s with Bonnie.

Alex’s co-hosts Karl Stefanovic and Ally Langdon proceeded to joke about how successful the holiday must have been.

“They’ve now had twins, they’re married, I’d say the trip went well,” Ally joked.

Alex then just casually added: “Hey, I should say, Bonnie’s pregnant!

Karl and Ally were completely shocked.

Clearly caught off guard by the announcement his co-hosts were stunned, with Karl yelling “Whaaaat?!” before Ally began cheering with joy.

“I meant to tell you that. Sorry. Yeah, yeah, another one on the way, which is extremely stressful,” Alex said in regard to having just welcomed twin daughters, Audrey and Evie.

“Slightly earlier than we’d planned and three under three will be a challenge but we’re over the moon!”

The couple are due in August.

Alex welcomed his twin daughters on January 20th last year with wife Bonnie.

“Our new family. Our beautiful girls were born in the very early hours of January 20. Mum is doing great. Girls are too. We couldn’t be happier” he wrote while announcing their arrival.

Alex isn’t the only Channel Nine star expecting soon with Today Extra also falling pregnant for the second time shortly after welcoming son, Oscar, with husband Peter Stefanovic.

Sylvia is also pregnant for a second time.

Sylvia and Peter announced they were expecting baby number two in October with a very cute snap, just seven months after giving birth.

“When you find out you’re getting a best bud for life. Oscar’s little brother due in April next year. We are so lucky. 💫💫💫” Sylvia captioned the photo.
