Sarah Harris, perhaps most well-known for her co-host position on Network Ten’s morning program, Studio 10, confirmed this week that she and her hubby Tom Ward have plans to potentially extend their brood.

Speaking with The Daily Telegraph, the veteran journalist explained baby number two could be on the horizon but worries about the impact it could have on her career.

“Television is this weird, unusual beast that makes everyone super-insecure,” Sarah told the publication.

“There’s still a niggling thought in the back of your mind that if you go away, they will take that (position) away from you.”

She added: “Until then, I just want to put my head down and work really hard.”

Sarah and her IT specialist husband, who met at a bar nearly eight years ago, welcomed their first child – a boy, named Paul William Ward – in December 2015.

The beloved television personality shared the exciting news in a touching Facebook post.

“Paul William Ward [was] born at 11.30am this morning, weighing 4.23kg and measuring 54cm,” said the post. “Bubs is a bruiser, but perfect. We’re in love!”

Sarah announced that she was expecting her first child while on air, presenting on the Studio 10 panel.

The journalist showed her co-hosts an ultrasound image, before addressing their confusion by explaining, “I’m having a baby!”

The presenters – including Ita Buttrose, guest Brynne Edelstson, Jessica Rowe and Joe Hildebrand – jumped up and cheered in excitement.
