The Wiggles family just got a whole lot cuter with the exciting news Red Wiggle Simon Pryce and his wife Lauren Hannaford have welcomed their first child together – a son called Asher William Pryce.

The Wiggles power couple, who tied the knot after they met and fell in love during a Wiggles tour, announced their happy news via their Instagram pages on Sunday January 10.

“I am so overcome with emotion and overwhelming feelings of love that it’s impossible to put in to words everything I am feeling right now. ❤️,” Simon penned.

“@lozhannaford and I are so fortunate, happy and blessed to have you in our lives. 🙏🏼”

“Welcome to the world ASHER WILLIAM PRYCE 💙In an instant, I can’t imagine my life without you being here,” the children’s entertainer signed off his heartfelt post.

Accompanying the announcement was a beautiful first family photo which showed the elated parents holding their newborn son.

In another photo, a sleeping Asher rests peacefully in his bassinet.

Meanwhile new mum Lauren shared the same stunning images and revealed the meaning behind her son’s name.

“Asher means: Happy & Blessed… And that is exactly what we are to have you, our gorgeous boy. 🙏🏼 @simon_wiggle 😍,” she explained.

“We love you endlessly and beyond comprehension already!! We miss you so much when you are sleeping… but at the same time just want to sit and watch you for hours while you do it. ❤️😆.”

“We can’t wait to tackle life together as a family, you are our everything. We love you. 💋#blessed #happy #babypryce #family,” Lauren said.

The beloved children’s entertainer, 48, and his fitness instructor wife Lauren, 34, revealed they were expecting their first child together on Father’s Day in September last year.

“Lauren and I are beyond excited and overjoyed to be expecting our first baby in early 2021. I already feel like I’m bursting with love,” Simon beamed at the time.

He continued: “I think @lozhannaford will be happy when it’s born so I stop talking to her stomach, especially when we are in the supermarket aisle.”

The post finished with an endearing sign off for the dad-to-be: “Happy Father’s Day to me. Well not quite yet but soon.”

“Lauren and I are both really excited.”

In October, the couple exclusively revealed the gender of their baby with Now To Love.

“We sort of always thought we would have a boy first. He’s a very active little boy,” an overjoyed Lauren told us at the time.

In the touching gender reveal video, the pair were blown away as they cut through a cupcake which was encased with blue icing.

“It was just the two of us. We always wanted to just find out ourselves together first,” professional dancer Lauren reflected of the special moment.

Their road to parenthood didn’t come without its challenges, however. Simon and Lauren went public with their struggle to conceive, revealing it took two years to fall pregnant with Lauren discovering she had cysts on her ovaries.

With the government cancelling all elective surgery at the start of 2020 in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lauren wasn’t able to have them removed.

But miraculously, she fell pregnant naturally. Due to her pre-existing condition the fitness entrepreneur, who runs her own online platform called FHIT by Lauren Hannaford, previously told us she was hesitant to commit to a strict birth plan.

“There is also the fact that I need to still have that surgery that I was meant to have. It’s just whether they then decide that the best option is to have a caesarean, where they can do the surgery at the same time, or whether we go down the natural birth road and have the surgery later,” she said.

“In terms of birth plan, I’m not really even sure what that means so it’s a clear indication that I haven’t got one,” Lauren added.

In November, the couple celebrated the impending arrival of their baby boy with a lavish baby shower in Sydney’s Centennial Park.

“Lauren and I are both really excited. Lauren is doing really well, although she’s getting a bit uncomfortable now,” Simon told New Idea weeks before he became a father.

As the new parents settle into family life, they can’t wait to hit the road with Purple Wiggle Lachlan Gillespie and his three-month-old twin daughters Lulu and Lottie later this year.

“We’re gonna have the Wiggly crèche on the road! It will be lovely to have little children running around, it will be beautiful,” the Masked Singer star explained in October.

A huge congrats to Simon and Lauren on their beautiful baby boy Asher.
