Pregnant women are at the most beautiful time in their lives — thanks to pregnancy hormones

It’s like they receive a total body conditioning treatment as hair thickens with a great glossy shine, nails grow strong and long, eyes brighten as blood vessels contract and skin has a flawless glow. Mums living in Texas who recognise this fact eager to show off their baby bump attended the 7th Annual Pre-Labor Day Pregnant Bikini Contest celebration this week.

US radio personality Rod Ryan — who initiated the competition seven years ago — was pleased he went against his bosses decision not to do it as they had record entry numbers this year. This is a positive step towards how we think of pregnant women and their bodies so women can feel more confident about their changing shape.

Yummy mummies were cheered on by their partners at the Big Woodrow venue in Houston, as they were given challenges such as speed nappy changing and throwing competitions, answering questions related to their pregnancy, stating how far along they were, and then they stirred up their audience as they flaunted their stunning look by revealing their baby bump in a bikini.
