Another Married At First Sight baby is here! While the new arrival technically wasn’t the result of finding love on the show, it’s just as joyous an occasion.
MAFS bride Susie Bradley has welcomed a healthy baby boy with partner and NRL player Todd Carney.
Taking to Instagram the couple shared the news of their bub’s arrival along with his adorable name – Lion Daryl Carney.
“Lion Daryl Carney,” Susie wrote alongside a series of sweet snaps.
“Born an Aries, March 27 2021 at 10.50am, 7 pounds 9.4 ounces, 50cm long on a perfect autumn day. A lion’s most common traits are majesty, strength, courage, justice and might. A lion stands for both gentleness and power all rolled into one. A lion in your life enables you to bring positive changes in the lives of yourself, your family and your friends.
“We love you our little Lion. You will be one of the greats.”
Todd followed suit, clearly already enamoured with his new arrival, sharing the same post as his partner.
Lion’s middle name Daryl is a sweet tribute to Todd’s late father.
Susie and Todd met through social media in January 2019 and went public with their romance when Susie’s MAFS episodes were still airing in 2019.
Sharing a picture of the pair laying down in the sun together, she wrote: “I have waited so long for the day to come where this saying makes complete sense and now it finally does…”
She continued: “One day someone will walk into your life and make you see why it never worked out with anyone else ” 💖 @tcarney86 You are 100% that person and I am so incredibly in love with you 💏 xxxxxxxx #luckiestgirlintheworld”.
Susie and Todd have been on and off since they began dating.
(Instagram)Todd revealed he helped his MAFS star girlfriend “deal with the negative publicity” she received while she was on the show after being labelled a villain for her treatment of groom Billy Vincent.
Despite numerous break-ups and make-ups since, Susie and Todd reconciled in December last year.
It seemed babies were always in the plans for the couple.
Speaking to New Idea in 2019 Todd revealed: “If Susie and I are ready to commit to it, I’d definitely love to have kids.”
The couple confirmed their pregnancy news on Christmas Day.
(Instagram)The football star has already taken on Susie’s daughter, five-year-old Baby, from a previous relationship, as his own.
“She has her own father, but while Baby’s in my care, I treat her as if she’s my own,” Todd says.
“It definitely makes you realise you have other people to care for when you put yourself in [the] position [of being a parent].”
The couple first sparked rumours they were expecting over Christmas.
In a photo shared to Instagram, Todd, Susie and Baby can be seen posing in front of a Christmas tree.
Rumours started after this festive snap.

Fans were quick to note the mention of three rather than just two – Susie and Baby.
Finally the couple confirmed the news on Christmas Day with a sweet photo that also confirmed the baby’s gender.
“Our hearts are full, Christmas will be sweet. Our family is growing by one heart & two feet,’ the post read. ‘Baby boy Carney due March 2021,” Todd wrote.
