Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl.
The TODAY host confirmed his happy news on Saturday morning, revealing Jasmine gave birth at the Royal North Shore Private Hospital, in Sydney on Friday May 1st.
Proud new father-of-four Karl also shared his newborn daughter’s classic name.
Welcome, Harper May Stefanovic.

“Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough have welcomed the arrival of a beautiful baby girl! The couple have named their daughter Harper May Stefanovic. Karl told @thetodayshow. ‘Harper and Jasmine are doing well and dad had a great night’s sleep. I am in awe. Harper is absolutely perfect,'” the statement read.
Karl’s longtime friend and colleague Richard Wilkins also confirmed the exciting news on the Weekend Today Show.
“We just have received word from our wonderful friend and colleague Karl Stefanovic that he and his wife Jasmine have welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Harper May. She was born just after midday yesterday. We send them all our love. To Karl and Jas, you guys are going to love this special time in your life,” Wilkins said on air.
Harper is Karl’s fourth child – he shares his three eldest children Jackson, 20, Ava, 14 and River, 12, with his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn.
Last week, Karl admitted having a baby with Jasmine was on the cards as soon as they fell in love, despite undergoing a vasectomy, a procedure he later had reversed.
“We discussed it very early on in our relationship and I was very excited about the prospect of having a baby,” he told the Daily Mail Australia.
“We [he and Jasmine] do have a very loving relationship and to have a baby as an expression of that love is incredible. It’s never an easy thing and I think that kids are a miracle and we just can’t wait to meet this little girl. Just to shower her with all the love that we have,” he said.
Whispers that Jasmine was pregnant first arose shortly after the couple’s first wedding anniversary but Karl confirmed the news via his Instagram account.
“After a great deal of speculation…the rumours are true,” he captioned a paparazzi photo of himself at the beach – the same set of photos that showed Jasmine with a baby bump.
Woman’s Day reported that the couple were expecting a girl back in December – something the couple were overjoyed to discover.
“It’s a dream come true for them and in particular Jasmine, who had her heart set on having a little girl, especially given Karl already has two boys, Jackson and River, from his relationship with his ex-wife Cass,” a source revealed.

“When we first met, I thought he was going to be such a good friend, because we just laughed all the time. He had me in fits of laughter all day!” Jasmine confessed to Vogue Brides in 2019.
“I certainly did not expect to meet someone five months after I broke up with my wife,” Karl himself told Stellar magazine shortly after he and Jasmine went public in 2017.

Karl’s three eldest children reportedly struggled after the divorce of their parents and the now father-of-four previously spoke to the Herald Sun about his hope to rectify his “failures as a dad.”
“I hope I can try and rebuild whatever has happened in the past and try and make the most of what I can do with them in the future.”
Harper will be in great company as she joins cousin Oscar Stefanovic, the first child of Karl’s brother Peter Stefanovic and wife Sylvia Jeffreys who was born in February.
