Australian model Jesinta Franklin has welcomed her second child – a baby boy!
The 29-year-old, who is married to Buddy Franklin, shared the exciting news on Instagram today with Buddy posting a gorgeous picture.
In the caption, he wrote: “Our Baby boy has arrived”
While the name she and Buddy, 34, have picked is yet to be known. we’re sure we’ll get an announcement soon.
The new baby boy joins elder sister, one-year-old Tullulah.
Jesinta also has a one-year-old daughter called Tullulah.
(Instagram)Of course, the idea of raising two children under the age of two is a little daunting – a feat Jesinta herself recently addressed.
Posting a picture of herself walking a pram with baby Tullulah in February, she wrote: “Pre- dinner waddle to the shops. Can’t believe we’ll be whipping out the double pram soon. Would love any advice/tips from other mums with a 1 year old and newborn. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous.”
But her post was met with overwhelming support from her friends and followers.
“You’ve got this, best of luck beautiful,” wrote her pal and fashion influencer Kate Waterhouse.
Meanwhile, Leah Madden, creative director of White Sands Swimwear, gave her some pearls of wisdom.
“I had my [second two] very close together, and remembering that taking care of yourself is so important. Rest when you can, forget trying to keep the house immaculate/ getting your figure back/ dressing to impress, and focus on yourself, your babies and your husband,” she explained.
She summed up her explanation beautifully: “It goes so quickly. You only have a newborn for a few weeks, an infant for a few months, a toddler for a couple of years, and a then child for a few more.”
Clearly touched, Jestina wrote back: “Love this. Thank you for sharing.”
Jesinta will no doubt be a wonderful mother to two babies under two.
(Instagram)The model previously announced her second pregnancy during an Instagram live session with with Vida Glow founder Anna Lahey in October last year.
“It was a very big surprise for us. Tullulah will be getting a sibling at the end of March next year so she will have just turned one,” she explained at the time.
”I’ll have a 13-month and a newborn, which was very daunting at first.”
Jesinta and Buddy were surprised by the news of a second child.
(Getty)But despite their surprise, Jestina said she and her AFL player husband felt “blessed” given it had taken four years to fall pregnant with Tullulah.
“It was very hard to conceive the first time with Tullulah, and for this [pregnancy] to be such an unplanned surprise is a blessing,” she said.
And as her family grows, her priorities have changed. Speaking of her plans for 2021, things look straightforward for Jesinta.
“[I am] just being mum and changing nappies, cleaning the house and folding clothes, reading stories and all those things,” she explained.
