‘Wengenn in Wonderland’: artist turns her son’s naptime into an adventure

Have you ever wondered what your baby dreams about?

Do you ever wonder what your baby dreams about? When they finally drift off to sleep after a fussy day, do you wonder what adventures they get up to in their dreams?

Perhaps they’re taming dragons, or riding lions, or playing with their friends?

Queenie Liao, a Californian mother of three, has used her baby Wengenn’s naptime to imagine all the adventures he gets up to in his dreams. From lion taming, to charming snakes and flying broomsticks, Queenie uses materials and household items to create wonderland on her carpet, and all the while, Wengenn sleeps peacefully.

Queenie has released a book with all her favourite dreamland shots, titled Wengenn in Wonderland.

What does your baby get up to in their dreams?

Are they little mice chased by cats?

Or Tarzan flying through the jungle?

Perhaps they’re sailing boats through the skies.

Or swinging from trapezes in the circus.

Or becoming the next Picasso!

Or dreaming in their flowerpots.

Or avoiding the Claw in a machine!

Or standing guard with their soldiers.

Or charming snakes in the Middle East?

Or riding broomsticks on Halloween?

Or placing the stars at night.

Or snuggled up as Russian dolls.

Or even interviewing the president (in their golfing jumpers).

Or dancing down a piano in Wonderland.

Or playing a lion in the circus!

Or visiting owls in the trees.

Perhaps, they’re controlling their kingdoms?

Or riding merry-go-rounds in the clouds.

Maybe even robots?

Or wrangling wild horses in the wild west?

Or hatching from eggs!

Maybe they’re toppling Wall Street.

Or saving damsels in distress in Metropolis.

Or exploring the pyramids.

Or flying to faraway enchanting castles?
