Forget gender roles! No one will stop this adorable little boy from wearing his favourite Disney princess costume.

Meet Paul Henson, the Virginian dad who completely embraces his three-year-old boy Caiden wanting to dress up as Elsa from Frozen for Halloween.

The 28-year-old took to Facebook to share his thoughts on the matter.

Accompanying a photo of cheeky Caiden rocking his Elsa costume with adorable green kicks, Paul expressed the importance of letting children be themselves.

“Anyone that knows us, knows we generally let Caiden make his own choices, to an extent. Well, he has decided on a Halloween costume. He wants to be Elsa. He also wants me to be Anna. Game on.”

“Keep your masculine bullst and sl*y kids costumes,” Paul wrote on the post that has already been shared over 24,000 times. “Halloween is about children pretending to be their favourite characters. Just so happens, this week his is a princess.”

The dad then noted that his son wanted him to accompany him and dress up as Anna, Elsa’s sister.

“As children get older, they distance themselves from their parents. Why start that split sooner than they need to?” Paul explains to the Huffington Post.

“It’s important for children to know that their parents will stand by them no matter what. Why shame him for wanting to be a princess? When little girls want to be superheroes, it’s cute. Why isn’t it the same for a little boy that wants to be a princess?”

Caiden’s mum, Ashley Ramage, was equally as proud of her little man.

“I want other parents to realise that gender stereotypes are taught and learned behaviours. At three years old, kids are still developing, exploring and discovering. As parents we shouldn’t discourage their individuality,” she told The HuffPost.

If anyone has an icy attitude towards Caiden’s costume choice, we reckon, in the words of his beloved Elsa, his response would be: “The cold never bothered me anyway!”
