She may be on one of Australia’s most-loved TV programs and an ambassador for department store Myer, but Jodi Anasta says being a mother to three-year-old Aleeia is her most important role yet.

“Bringing up a little girl I adore and knowing we have a whole lifetime together [is the best part of being a mum],” the 32-year-old shared with OK!.

The Aussie actress has been keeping busy since her split with Braith Anasta in 2015, with a role on Neighbours and as an ambassador for Myer – but admits being a single working mum is no easy feat.

“It can be very tough but it’s nice to work and then it’s great to have family time and separate them and make them both work,” she revealed last year.

“But I feel like, with family and with Aleeia, we’ve got that down pat now.”

Jodi, who posed with Aleeia for an exclusive Mother’s Day shoot for OK!, also admits that she tries her best to keep things as normal as possible for her daughter.

“Life changes [when you become a mum] in the sense that you are responsible for this new life & the joy of bringing up a child,” she shared with OK!.

“Being a single mum I've tried to integrate our lives together as much as possible so there's minimal change.”

“I love when Aleeia and I get to travel together exploring new places and having new experiences,” she continued. “I also love dressing up with her. When I was a little girl I loved dressing up so that's something Aleeia has no doubt got from me. I think she'll be just as obsessed with fashion as I am!"
