Because there's absolutely nothing wrong with breastfeeding in public.

Let me nourish my daughter.

The judgement and criticism that mums receive about breastfeeding their babies in public can be relentless. While the vast majority of people are supportive of mums simply feeding their babies, there’s still a group of people who find the natural act inappropriate and offensive.

But now a mum from Nevada in the U.S. has had a public vent on Facebook about the criticism she’s been subjected to about breastfeeding her baby in public. Her words have clearly struck a chord because the post has since gone viral.

In the short and to-the-point Facebook post, Jennifer Taylor, 21, says what so many of us have already been thinking:

“My face when people stare at me feeding my child,” Jennifer begins, referring to her less-than-impressed expression in a photo of her feeding her one-year-old daughter, Nyomi.

“Females walk around with their titties damn near popping out their shirt for attention, but the moment I pull my breast out to feed my daughter it’s a problem?” Jennifer continues, pointing out the hypocrisy in the different ways women’s breasts are viewed in different contexts.

“Mind your own tits bitches and let me nourish my daughter.”

Can we give this mama a round of applause, please?! We couldn’t agree more.

Sometimes there’s no need for a long-winded argument, or mincing your words. In this case, getting straight to the point has had the desired impact.

If it’s acceptable for a scantily-clad women to reveal their boobs in public, then there’s nothing inappropriate about women breastfeeding their babes while they’re out and about.
