The Wiggles' Simon Pryce announces he and wife Lauren Hannaford are expecting their first baby

A Wiggly little baby is a-coming.

The Wiggles star Simon Pryce has announced he is expecting his first baby with wife Lauren Hannaford in an Instagram post that'll bring a boost to your Monday morning.
Simon, AKA the Red Wiggle, shared the news with a special post on the social media platform, sending his near 70,000-strong following into a frenzy of excitement.
Posting a sweet pic of himself and Lauren with her baby bump on show, Simon wrote: "Lauren and I are beyond excited and overjoyed to be expecting our first baby in early 2021. I already feel like I'm bursting with love."
He continued: "I think @lozhannaford will be happy when it's born so I stop talking to her stomach, especially when we are in the supermarket aisle."
The post finished with an endearing sign off for the dad-to-be: "Happy Father's Day to me. Well not quite yet but soon."

Lauren also shared her own post and announcement on her Instagram, page, adding: "We love you so much already little one and seeing the excitement pouring out of @simon_wiggle absolutely melts my heart."
She also described Baby Wiggle as quite the, ah, wiggler.
"From the amount that you are moving around in there, it feels like we have a little gymnast on our hands," Lauren wrote.

Simon and Lauren were flooded with well wishes from friends and followers.
Channel Nine reporter Natalia Cooper, a mum herself, wrote: "Absolutely awesome news! Congratulations you guys."
TV and radio personality Beau Ryan also added his own message of excitement: "Yeeeeeeeeeeeew," he simply wrote.
And MAFS star Cam Merchant, another expecting dad, also wrote to Simon: "Incredible & congratulations to you both mate! Special news!"

Lauren and Simon married in 2017 after dating for six years.
The pair met on a Wiggles tour, with Lauren playing several iconic characters in the children's performances - including Wags the Dog, Dorothy the Dinosaur and the Octopus.
Simon is clearly smitten with his wife, with the pair sharing some beautiful pictures from their wedding ceremony back in January 2017 with Woman's Day.
Lauren said her husband was the "greatest human ever in her life" during the nuptials, explaining he has an "incredibly kind heart."
