After meeting in a Melbourne bar half a decade ago, Survivor star Moana Hope and model Isabella Carlstrom’s relationship has gone from strength to strength.
From getting married to buying a house and welcoming two babies via a donor, the couple have ticked off the most special relationship milestones.

Moana and Isabella have been inseparable from the moment they met in a Melbourne bar in 2017.
“I was drawn to her straight away. I actually had been overseas for six years and came back to Melbourne having no idea girls were playing footy, having no idea who she was,” Isabella said.
The couple tied the knot in November 2019, and Moana departed for Survivor just days later. Not long after returning home, the newlyweds began their journey to starting a family.
In July 2021, the couple announced they’d purchased their first home together, with Moana sharing why the milestone was so special to her.
“I’ve lived paycheque to paycheque. I couldn’t afford rent. I’ve been evicted from houses and lived in a caravan,” Moana wrote on Instagram at the time.
“I’ve even slept on a friend’s sofa and had my utilities cut off. I’ve been knocked down more than you could imagine and… I did this. We did this.
Isabella carried and gave birth to Svea in November 2020 after the couple conceived her through IVF.
In December, Moana announced she is expecting her and Isabella’s second child.
“I’m pregnant… we’re pregnant🤰🏽🎊 2022 our little modern family will grow by one tiny human. Building our own little football team 🤣,” she announced alongside this pic.

Moana and Isabella used the same sperm donor as Svea for their second baby, which means they will be full siblings.
Someone who is just as excited about Moana’s growing family is her sister, Vinny.
The 26-year-old was born with the neurological disorder Möbius syndrome and Moana has worked hard to make sure Vinny is an equal part of her family with Isabella.
“We’re making a massive mindful effort to make sure that Vinny is incorporated in every way possible,” Moana previously said.
“Hello bump ☺️ 19 weeks today and I’m just not sure how much longer I can play safety mum up and down the stairs with a bladder that never ends,” Moana captioned this post.
“Soon 4 will become 5,” Moana captioned this sweet snap with Isabella and Svea.
Moana has previously spoken about her plans to fall pregnant and admitted she couldn’t wait to experience all the ups and downs of carrying a child.
“I’m trying to carry the second one, which is going to be exciting! I know at the same time, watching Belle go through it was one experience, but doing it yourself is completely different,” she said.
In January, Moana expressed her sadness over the government’s decision to temporarily ban IUI and IVF treatments to curb the spread of COVID.
She passionately described the IVF process as “the most emotionally exhausting experiences of my life because everything you do is based on a date or time; it’s always based on doing bloods every day or every second day based on if you’re ovulating.”

After stumbling upon Isabella and Svea asleep, she joked, “Boobs are for two things….. Milk and sleeping on. 🤣 This is bloody cute, except I’m always left out of these snuggles. @isabellasofiacarlstrom tonight I shotgun sleeping on the boob 🤷🏽♀️.”

At 33 weeks pregnant, Moana shared the adorable way Svea reacts to her unborn sibling. Alongside a picture from bath time, she wrote, “Whenever I say to Svea ‘where is the baby’ she points and kisses my belly… In this case, gives her little sister or brother raspberries 😘 Can’t wait for her to meet her little sibling.”

And he arrived! The athlete announced on Instagram: “Oh how wonderful life is now that you are in the world. 🧡 ♾️ We are so in love. @isabellasofiacarlstrom #forever #inlove.”

While gazing into her son’s eyes, Moana basked in the glory of their wild journey together.
