When Bachelor lovebirds Laura Byrne and Matty J gave birth to daughter Marlie-Mae earlier this year our hearts sung for the couple who met on the 2017 series of The Bachelor.

Since the little one arrived in June, we’ve loved seeing the gorgeous family snaps the engaged pair share on their socials.

But, when Laura recently revealed her top list of baby items she actually uses, we were all ears.

Posting to Instagram Stories she explained the items were all ones she genuinely loves.

“A disclaimer: None of this is sponsored. It’s just stuff I use and that I think is great,” Laura said.

“I only have one baby so I’m probably completely unqualified to tell people what they should and shouldn’t buy but I’m going to do it anyway.”

“It’s a list of baby sh#t that isn’t sh#t”.

Alrighty, here goes…

The Deluxe+ dock

“This is the freaking best,” enthused Laura. “Marlie will sleep in this all day on the couch. It means I can keep her with me. She loves this. I know that the Dockatot is only for supervised sleeping. Mammy Mafia, put down your pitch forks. It’s going to be ok.”

The Deluxe+ dock can be used for babies aged 0-8 months old or 2.2-10 kilograms.

“This is pretty basic but it’s something I use every day,” says Laura. “This thing is actually life changing. It is resealable and reusable and it means you don’t have to carry around one of those big-ass packs of baby wipes with you.”

“We have got about 7000 muslin wraps but this brand, Bondi Beach Baby is my favourite because they are massive,” reveals Laura. “You can actually burrito your baby. I like that they are so long and you can Houdini your child.”

The Omni 360 carrier grows with bub and can be used from week 1 to 36 months.

“Ergobaby Carrier is the boss,” says Laura.

Bugaboo Fox

Marlie-Mae travels in style in the Bugaboo Fox. It’s “like wheeling around a lounge for your baby,” jokes Laura.

The Fox can be used with a bassinet from birth. Then transition the seat position when your child is ready to sit up and see the world.

“Before having Marlie I was actually told by a few people that I probably wouldn’t really use or wouldn’t really need a baby change table,” says Laura. “Which in retrospect is probably the most crazy-ass advice I’ve ever been given because I use the change table every time I change her. Otherwise where do you change your baby? If you change her on the couch, you get poop on your couch.”

Laura and Marlie-Mae both enjoy using this Baby Bottom Cream. “I was given this butt cream and it’s divine,” she explains. “I also use it on my hands.”

“The Haakaa is a silicone breast pump,” explains Laura. “When you’re feeding on one side, you can catch all the goodness on the other.”

“If you’re going to buy a present for someone who is having a baby this book actually made me cry the first time I read it,” gushes Laura. “It is incredibly sweet. It is a massive recommendation.”

“Every time Marlie is cracking it, the “pink noise” instantly stops her from crying,” explains Laura. “It’s amazing. If you have a newborn and would like to try it, thank me later.”
