Former AFL star and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Josh Gibson has officially become a father!

The 37-year-old and his partner Ashley Bright announced the birth of their first child; a baby boy called Brody, via Instagram on Thursday.

The happy parents both took to their Instagram pages to share the exciting news, sharing a slew of precious photos of their son.

The former Hawthorn Hawks defender wrote an emotional message to accompany the adorable photos of his new bub.

“September has been very good to me over the years..On the 6/9/2021 at 2:58pm Brody Des Gibson was born and changed our world forever,” he started.

The Celeb Apprentice star dedicated the rest of his message to Ashley as he commented on his son being born on the 6th, which refers to the number six jersey he wore during his AFL days.

“@ashleybright__ you’ve given us the greatest gift of all & words can’t describe how much I love you. ❤️,” he penned.

“If Brody being born on the 6th isn’t a sign, I don’t know what is!! #dadlife #family.”

In the comment section, AFL star Buddy Franklin wrote a congratulatory message for Josh.

“❤️ Brody congrats brother,” wrote Buddy.

Josh replied to his message, “Thanks brother 💙.”

Ashley posted the same pictures as her partner, and she penned a short and sweet message to commemorate the monumental occasion.

“Brody Des Gibson born 06.09.21 💙 The purest love we’ve ever known,” she wrote.

Former Married At First Sight star Martha Kalifatidis commented on Ashley’s post with the message, “Congratulations he’s perfect 😍.”

The couple have been together for almost a year.

The joyful couple debuted their relationship during Christmas 2020, and they announced their pregnancy in March.

“Little Gibbo coming September 2021,” Josh shared at the time.
