It seems like just yesterday that Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness were proudly showing off their first child, Oscar, to the world.

But in case you’ve blinked and missed it, their adorable little boy is now a 21-year-old man attending a New York college – and is in what sources say is a “deeply committed relationship” with girlfriend Grace Hingston-Hurtado.

Taking to social media last week in a proud declaration of love Grace – who Woman’s Day first reported was dating Oscar in 2020 – is seen declaring her feelings for Oscar and labelling him “boyfriend of the year”.

The young lovebirds, who live in New York with their parents, have been travelling the world together, from the beaches of Turks and Caicos Islands to the woodlands of England.

“Oscar and Grace are the perfect match,” says a source.

“They might be very young, but they already know they’ve each found their forever person. It’s very cute. They’re already talking moving in with each other, marriage and even babies!”

Insiders tell Woman’s Day that Hugh, 53, and Deb, 66, “are over the moon” that Oscar’s found love at such a young age, and “would be thrilled if they settled down together”.

“When Hugh met Deb, he knew she was The One – and he was only six years older when that happened than Oscar is now,” says a source.

“It’s no secret that they struggled to conceive children of their own, they’re very open about that.

“So if Grace and Oscar some time down the track decide to take the next step, they’ll be happy to guide them.”

Oscar and Grace, also 21, share plenty in common – including the fact that they’re both adopted, and are both “Ausmericans”.

American-born Oscar was adopted by his Aussie parents from a family in Iowa, while Grace was born in San Antonio, Texas, and raised by her dads, Aussie actor Sean Hingston and New Yorker Brad Hurtado.

“Perhaps because of their start to life, Oscar and Grace are extremely mature,” says a source.

“The fact that they’re already talking about the future doesn’t come as a surprise to Hugh and Deb, who would be the most amazing grandparents. But they are gently urging them to finish college first.”

That hasn’t stopped Deb from dreaming about the day she becomes a nanna, say insiders.

“She already fusses over Grace and treats her like a daughter,” says a source.

“She buys her cute gifts like fluffy blankets, and no doubt she’s picturing herself getting things like that for a grandchild.”

The Jackmans and the Hingston-Hurtados are said to be close, with Hugh recently gifting Grace’s dads and their friends with tickets to his most recent Broadway show.

“The Jackmans invited us to attend the first public performance of The Music Man on Broadway last night,” Brad posted on Instagram in December.

“It’s called the Invited Dress Rehearsal and it’s the first time the cast has an audience, so after years of prep they can finally hear the laughter and applause.”
