Erin McNaught is the latest celebrity forced to defend herself against bump shamers

She’s not the first Aussie star to be critiqued on her pregnancy frame.

Model, Erin McNaught, has taken to Instagram with a bare-all snap and some choice words for those giving her bump backlash.

The former Miss Australia, who is 27-weeks into her second pregnancy with musician husband Elliott ‘Example’ Gleave, penned her message in response to an inundation of negative comments she’d received, telling her she was too “tiny”, and that she should “eat something”.

“A lot of people commenting on how small my bump is for 27 weeks… A few important points!” she began.

“1. I took this pic first thing in the morning. By the evening I’m WAY bigger! 2. Even my midwife has said I have ‘an extra-long torso’ – this means I have a lot more room to carry a baby.”

The Australian beauty also reminded the world of her height – she’s 5’9”, thank you very much – and the fact that, like any woman expecting to give birth, she’s put on a healthy amount of weight with the help of a burger or two a week.

“I’m measuring spot on for how far along I am,” she continues, adding that she’s feeling good “most of the time”.

“My midwife is happy so that’s all I need to say.”

Erin isn’t the only Australian star to been criticised on her pregnant frame. Rebecca Judd faced a wave of negativity herself both during her latest pregnancy, and following the birth or twin boys Tom and Darcy.

“I don’t try to look the way I do, I just do,” Bec told Kate Waterhouse of the backlash she received.

“Believe me, nobody has the energy to grow four big, bouncing babies, work a gazillion jobs, run businesses, a household and a family on an empty stomach.”

Well said, ladies.

Bec was criticised for being “too thin” before she gave birth.
