Mothers will know that going to the bathroom alone is challenging enough, let alone managing to attend a hairdressing appointment.
But those of us with limp hair and overgrown roots are holding our hands up to Drew Barrymore for her ingenious way of keeping daughter Olive, four, occupied in the salon, and are taking notes to do the same come our next bookings.
While this snap posted to 42-year-old’s Instagram account may make it look as if the mother-daughter duo are both lightening their locks, it’s actually only Drew who’s undergoing a hair transformation.
Because inside Olive’s foils, is conditioner.
“Ok first! Hair. With @traceycunningham1 round one #santaclaritadiet olive is hanging! And Tracy puts conditioner in foils on her for solidarity,” the Never Been Kissed star penned.
And mums alike are loving Drew’s idea, with many taking to comments section to applaud her.
“Genius idea! One for the mummy files” one mother wrote, with another adding, “That is such a great idea for Olive! Might use that one on my three-year-old next time grandma can’t watch her on the much needed hair colour for sanity days”.
Earlier this week, Drew garnered all the praise hands emojis after posting a candid photo of her unkempt eyebrows.
Beside the #nomakeup snap, she wrote: “OH MY GOD How did I let it get this bad. Base and brows needed.”
