Whoever said: “There is no use crying over spilled milk” wasn’t a mum on the pump

It really is liquid gold

Any new mum who has sat pumping in a desperate bid to secure a few precious drops of breastmilk knows the fear that is ‘the spill’.

Even celebrity mums it seems. Mum to delicious two-month-old baby Miles, Chrissy Teigen took to social media to share the horror of ‘the spill’.

“I am so jealous of people with plentiful boobies”

Chrissy can be heard laughing as she and a friend desperately try to salvage the liquid gold that has been spilled on the table using syringes.

“Spilled my breastmilk and this is how important it is in this house” Chrissy laughs.

“We’re trying!” she exclaims. “I got some.”

Since baby number two, Miles came along, Chrissy hasn’t been shy about documenting her breastfeeding journey. She’s been sharing her triumphs and struggles on social media in a bid to ‘normalise’ breastfeeding and open conversations about the challenges it can being to some new mums.

Recently she shared a hilarious image of her two-year-old daughter, Luna attempting to put her own baby doll on Chrissy’s boobs for a tandem feed with her new baby brother.

Chrissy writes: “Luna making me feed her babydoll so I guess I have twins now”

Chrissy’s husband John Legend has also sung the praises of his wife’s breastfeeding journey, posting his own tribute to her on Fathers’ Day earlier this year.

“I know it’s Father’s Day and all but my wife is pretty awesome,” he writes alongside an image of Chrissy pumping in the car en route to a night out. “She’s taking me to dinner but still on mommy duty”

Here’s hoping Chrissy has no more spills, because she’s clearly doing an awesome job!
