Rod Stewart is a legend of the music industry and there isn’t much he hasn’t done, so James Corden decided to lift the lid on some of this rock icon’s best kept secrets, in one of our favourite segments, Carpool Karaoke for The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Not one to go easy, James asked the 70-year-old what his most rock ’n’ roll moment of all time has been.
“There’s been so many… just drinking and shagging and drinking and shagging basically, that’s what we did, and smashing up hotel rooms,” he boldly confessed.
Before adding: “We were banned from all [hotel chain] Holiday Inns, so we used to check in as Fleetwood mac.”
The rocker also divulged that his famous hair-do only takes “10 minutes” to achieve before letting James run his hands through it.
In one of the more intimate moments the host asked: “When did Rod Stewart lose his virginity?”
Rod seemed unfazed when he responded: “Mm… I suppose about 15.”
He added: “She looked about like she was in her ’30s and that’s what spurred the song Maggie May.”
The duo drove around Los Angeles listening to some of Rod’s classic hits and at one point, American rapper A$AP Rocky joined the party, but the music legend wasn’t upstaged, proving he can still rock out with the best of them!
