Paris Jackson shows off her impressive singing skills and her Dad would be proud

We bet her dad Michael Jackson would be so proud!

Paris Jackson comes from a long line of super talented musicians and singers — so it would make sense that some of that talent was passed down to her.

The 19-year-old made an appearance at the Soho House in West Hollywood over the weekend and she showed off her impressive singing skills as she joined her cousin Austin Brown onstage.

Austin is Paris’ cousin, and his mother is Rebbie Jackson — who Michael’s oldest sister. Austin also inherited his family’s talent —he works as a singer/songwriter and producer, and it was super sweet of Paris to support her cousin at his concert.

But this isn’t the first time Paris showed off her musical skills! She’s posted a handful of videos of herself playing guitar and performing covers to some of her favorite songs on social media, like Bob Dylan’s classic hit “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.”

Even though she definitely has the talent to pursue a career in music, it seems like that’s just not in the cards for the 19-year-old. Earlier this year, Paris revealed the reason why she doesn’t want to follow directly in her late father’s famous footsteps.

“I write music for myself,” she said in an interview with CR Fashion Book. “I use it as a way to get stuff out. It’s not something I see myself following career-wise. There are so many amazing artists in my family. If I were to do it as a career, it would change how I feel about music and I don’t want that to happen.”

For now, it seems like Paris is content with being a social media influencer. The teen uses her platform to be outspoken about things that are important to her, like body positivity — just last week, she shared a topless photo to make a statement about loving her body just the way it is, “rolls” included.
