Lane Toran, the voice behind ’90s cartoon Hey Arnold, is actually a total babe!

The 33-year-old actor and composer revealed himself as the original voice of Arnold, the cartoon boy with the head shaped like a football, on Instagram.

No football head, here! Lane Toran revealed himself to be the original voice actor behind Arnold.

The ‘90s were the golden age for Nickelodeon after school cartoons, and Hey Arnold was one of the most popular shows on the network.

The show was centred around Arnold, a primary-school aged boy with a head shaped like a football, his friend Gerald, and Helga, a local girl with a big crush on Arnold, as they navigate life in inner city.

Well, meet Lane Toran, the man who voiced Arnold for the first 41 episodes of the show.

Lane, who is now 33, has racked up credits as a voice actor in other Nickelodeon productions, as well as acting on screen and as a composer.

He originally revealed himself as the voice of Arnold on Instagram after he was invited to speak on a Hey Arnold! panel at Comic Con.

“Fun fact…” he captioned the pic. “I was the original voice of Arnold on Hey Arnold for season one and some of season two back in the late ’90s.”

If one thing’s for sure, it’s that everyone who loved Hey Arnold as a kid will be falling in love all over again, especially as there’s a made-for-TV Hey Arnold movie in the works, according to Variety!

The film will focus on the unanswered question that rang through the series; “what happened to Arnold’s parents?”

In the series, Arnold lives with his grandpa, and the whereabouts of his parents are never revealed, although the final episode of the show saw Arnold find a journal belonging to his father that implied that they were alive, well, and exploring the world.

Russell Hicks, the president of Nickelodeon, said that the movie will aim to appeal to both Nickelodeon’s current audience, as well as the people who grew up loving the show.

“You have to make it relevant to them but also nod to the audience that is going to be interested,” he explained.
