This week marked International Dog Day and in celebration of man’s best friend we’ve rounded up our fave celebs and their fun-loving pooches!

From the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Miley Cyrus, there aren’t many people who don’t have a very close bond with their furry friends – and who can blame them?

The Queen of TV Oprah Winfrey spoke about the love she has for her dogs on Oprah.com explaining, “nothing makes me happier than being with my dogs.”

Over her years, Oprah has had 21 dogs but her cocker spaniel Sophie always had a special place in her heart.

“I have felt truest, purest love… that comes from your dog, because it’s unconditional and they’re happy to see you no matter what,” the 61-year-old revealed on her website.

She continued: “One of my greatest teachers is my dog Sophie, she lived for 13 years and came to work with me every single day.”

“It wasn’t until she passed away that I really understood the depth of my love for her.”

Oprah’s love for her pooch was so great that she added: “Sophie was a little soul, but had a great impact on my life, and when I lost her is when I realised that nobody on earth had ever loved me like that little dog.”

Wow! That gave us all the feels and we can totally relate.
