Online shopper Cailey Fiesel from New York has been left horrified after receiving a shopping purchase only to find a rotting mouse sewn into the lining.
The shopper’s friend, known as aronmoney, shared a picture of the grim discovery on Reddit, with the caption: “My friend ordered a dress online and it came with a mouse sewn into it…’
In the picture – which has since been deleted – you can see the little mouse paw poking out from the stitching. The poor lil’ guy obviously took a cosy nap, and never woke up.

It has since been revealed Cailey purchased the dress from Zara and while she wasn’t charged extra for the included mouse, she has decided to take the matter to court. She is suing the Spanish fashion giant for unspecified damages, with the lawsuit claiming the dress caused her both personal injury and emotional distress.
A spokesperson for Zara tells TMZ: “Zara USA is aware of the suit, and we are investigating the matter further. Zara USA has stringent health and safety standards, and we are committed to ensuring that all of our products meet these rigorous requirements.”
No word on when the verdict for the case will be made.
