Take 5 announce Australia’s top 20 radio hunks

When it comes to what Aussie radio listeners consider hunky, it would seem that one person’s idea of a ‘face fit for radio’ is someone else’s Number 1 Hot Hit!

Leading weekly magazine Take 5 conducted an Australia-wide search, with the Top 20, just announced, ranges from more classic lookers like Hamish and Andy, to radio veterans like of Ray Hadley and Eddie McGuire. Even shock jock Kyle Sandilands gets a look-in.

With 2978 readers casting their votes, the mix was eclectic, with a broad range of ages.

“We’re getting some fascinating voting trends, and it’s fair to say that beauty is definitely not skin deep, and that some of our announcers are maturing like fine wines,” notes Take 5 Deputy Editor Kate Kirsten.

“Looks do count but making people laugh – or being kind – definitely rates high on the hotness scale … which sees our hunky contenders ranging in age from their early 20s to their 60s.”

Aussie women love a silver fox.
